Getting ready for your first appointment
- Arrive 15 minutes early for your first visit to allow time to complete your paperwork.
- Do you have any further questions? Prepare a list of questions to ask during your first meeting.
- Bring all of your documentation. A photo ID and a copy of your insurance card are required.
- Please call our office ahead of time at (215) 716-2106 to confirm your insurance benefits.
- Prepare to discuss your medical history, previous treatments, current medications, and other pertinent information.
- Create a list of any symptoms or warning signs that the therapist should be aware of. What recently irritated or hurt you? How long has this been going on? What tasks are you unable to complete as a result of it?
What to expect during your first appointment at UNIQ Physical Therapy:
Arriving at our physical therapy clinic is similar to going to the doctor! Here’s what you can anticipate.
- When you arrive at our office, you will register at the front desk. We’ll handle the insurance paperwork so you can start feeling better as soon as possible.
- Following that, you will be evaluated by one of our physical therapists. During your evaluation, we will inquire about your medical history, current pain, illness, or injury. Please be open and honest with us so that we can better understand your issue and provide the best solution possible!
- During your appointment, our physical therapist will thoroughly assess your movement, strength, and coordination.
- Our physical therapist will create a therapy plan for you based on the results of your evaluation. The goal will be to recover as quickly as possible while still producing significant results. You may receive some treatments to aid in your recovery on the first day; however, your next visit will include a full therapy session.
- Our Warminster, PA and Lansdale, PA therapists will document their findings and treatment plan, which they will be able to provide to your referring physician or another medical expert of your choice.
Before leaving your initial appointment, you will schedule the remainder of your sessions at the front desk. During your initial consultation at UNIQ Physical Therapy, our therapist will determine the number of treatment sessions required and will discuss this with you.
